Uncomfortable because of the lack of decency and morality within them which go from the sketchy to down right abominable. Difficult because we again, encounter a method of writing which is always a little off-putting in that chronology is thrown to the wind. A great modern example most […]
Continue readingCategory Archives: – Thru the Bible Series
We began this series on January 11, 2017 and continues to this day.
It chronicles our ongoing trek through the Bible beginning in Genesis, though our trek has not followed a 100% traditional order.
We have attempted to keep books whose contents are related in time, as much together as possible with some noteworth exceptions.
The specific chapters covered are NOT usually part of the title of each post making specific scriptures a little tricky to find by a simple “search”.
To compensate for that we have a page dedicated to this series which lists each of the scriptures we’ve covered so far as a link. It is our hope that this will help aid you in your studies….God Bless!

Not honoring Gideon and his family, is “center stage” of all that we will cover in chapter 9. Now, implied in the recording of this fact is that even as they […]

It always begins with Israel doing evil. God does what He said He would and turns them over into the hands of their enemies. Israel does evil & is set brought under bondage: “(1) The Israelites did what was evil […]
Continue readingDeborah…a Mother in Israel
This chapters deal with Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar & Deborah all judges in Israel.
Let me be VERY clear! If it were not for the overstepping of our age, where extreme feminism has found a foothold in the church and led many astray with its perversion of scripture I would have only sung the praises of Deborah in this section of scripture.
Deborah WAS a godly woman and was used by God to defibrillate the men of Israel into assuming their God given authority and that took faith and courage.
If Jael is most blessed and to be praise above the women who “dwell in tents”, then Deborah should be praised among all the women of Israel!
It is an awesome thing for Deborah to have been a prophetess, and even more so to have been mentioned among the judges, so nothing here should be understood and taking away from this truth!
I only find myself in the sad position of pointing out all she was NOT doing because of the cancerous egalitarian influence upon the Body of Christ.
Otherwise I would have mentioned only praise!
