Shepherds and Sheep

Christ used sheep as an endearing metaphor of the relationship He has with His Own. As a loving & caring Shepherd He has called some to represent Him as overseers of His flock. These pastors are servant-leaders, who "smell like sheep" meaning... they MUST be personally knowable, immediately available and in individual contact with all the members.

In our relationship with God Under the New Covenant, His law has been written upon our hearts and we serve in newness of Spirit, not oldness of the letter. God works this in us by His grace, that is, by His direct influence upon our hearts which will be reflect in the live of those who truly worship and trust Him.
